How to Join an Institution

In EDU Matrix Interlinked, no one is manually added. Everyone creates their own account and applies to join institutions. This ensures proper verification and consent.

Important: Self-Registration System

Unlike traditional systems where admins “add” users, EDU Matrix uses a self-registration model. Every user creates their own account and applies to join institutions.

  • Users own their accounts and can join multiple institutions
  • No manual data entry - users provide their own information
  • Verified consent - users apply voluntarily

How Each Role Joins

As a Student

1Create your EDU Matrix account (free)
2Search for your institution in 'Explore Institutions'
3Click 'Apply to Join' on the institution page
4Fill in required information (class, personal details)
5Submit your application
6Wait for Institution Admin to approve
7Once approved, access your Student Dashboard

Note: Institution Admin reviews and approves your application. You cannot be manually added - you must apply.

As a Teacher

1Create your EDU Matrix account (free)
2Search for the institution you want to teach at
3Click 'Apply as Teacher' on the institution page
4Fill in your qualifications and experience
5Submit your application
6Wait for Institution Admin to review
7Once approved, access your Teacher Dashboard

Note: Institution Admin assigns you to classes and subjects after approval.

As a Parent

1Create your EDU Matrix account (free)
2Go to 'Link Child' section in your dashboard
3Ask your child to generate an Access Code
4Enter the 8-character code (e.g., AXBC1234)
5Click 'Verify & Link'
6Link is created instantly
7Access your Parent Dashboard to monitor child

Note: Parents link to children using Access Codes - no approval needed if code is valid.

As Institution Admin

1Create your EDU Matrix account (free)
2Go to 'Create Institution' section
3Fill in institution details (name, type, location)
4Submit for platform verification
5Supreme Admin reviews your institution
6Once approved, access your Institution Admin Dashboard
7Start accepting teachers, students, and parents

Note: You become the admin of your own institution. You can add other admins later.

Parent Linking is Different

Parents don't “apply” to institutions. Instead, they link to their child using an Access Code generated by the student.

Access Code System

Child generates code → Parent enters code → Link created

24-Hour Validity

Codes expire after 24 hours for security

What Parents See After Linking:

  • Real-time attendance (notified if absent)
  • All grades as soon as published
  • Assignment completion status
  • Video lecture watch progress
  • Exam results immediately
  • Fee dues and payment history
  • Institution announcements

One Account, Multiple Institutions

Your EDU Matrix account can be connected to multiple institutions with different roles:

Teach subjects, mark attendance, grade students

Learn, take exams, submit assignments

Monitor child's progress, pay fees
