Terms of Service

2.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. Institution administrators must have legal authority to bind their institution.

2.2 Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2.3 Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

2.4 One Identity. Each user has a single unified profile (identified by a platform user ID) across all 13 services. You may hold multiple roles (e.g., Teacher at one institution, Student at another) under the same account.

EDU Matrix Interlinked provides 13 interconnected educational services including but not limited to:

• EDU Matrix Hub — Multi-tenant institution management (classes, attendance, grades, assignments, MCQ exams, timetables, fees, salaries, leave management, certificates, meetings)
• Students Interlinked — Social networking for students and educators
• Messaging — Real-time conversations between users
• Notifications — Cross-service alerts and updates
• Community Rooms — Voice and text collaboration spaces
• Open Admission — Institution discovery and application
• Open to Work — Professional profiles for job seekers
• Jobs Board — Employment opportunities for educators
• Freelancing — Project-based work marketplace
• Events — Educational event creation and management
• Edu News — Educational news and articles
• Feedback — Surveys, reviews, and support
• Profiles & Settings — Unified identity management

4.1 Platform Subscriptions. Platform-level subscriptions (for institution plans and institution verification badge purchases) are processed through Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and payment processing for subscriptions. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

4.2 Institution-Level Payments. Individual institutions may configure their own payment gateways (Stripe, Razorpay, JazzCash, Easypaisa, or others) for collecting student fees, processing teacher salaries, and other institution-specific financial transactions. These are governed by the institution's own policies.

4.3 Pricing. Current pricing for platform subscriptions is available on our Pricing page. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

4.4 Refunds. Refund requests are handled according to our Refund Policy. Platform subscription refunds are processed through Paddle.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or obscene content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Share academic content (grades, assignments, exams) for purposes of cheating
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6.1 Platform IP. All intellectual property rights in the Platform (software, design, branding, documentation) belong to EDU Matrix Interlinked. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.

6.2 User Content. You retain ownership of Content you create. By uploading Content, you grant EDU Matrix Interlinked a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that Content as necessary to operate the Platform.

6.3 Institution Data. Institutions retain ownership of their institutional data (student records, grades, attendance). EDU Matrix Interlinked acts as a data processor on behalf of institutions.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption (AES-256-GCM for sensitive data, TLS for data in transit), HMAC-SHA256 webhook verification, role-based access controls, and multi-tenant data isolation to protect your information.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDU Matrix Interlinked SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

9.1 You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in Settings.

9.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

9.3 Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. We may retain certain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records for tax compliance).

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
